About SEAS and LDAP Integration

The Integration of SEAS and SDS is no small task! Even though these are both IBM products, they are not as easily integrated as administrators expect. This interation requires knowledge of MFT and SEAS and SDS/TDS technologies to make it all work seamlessly. This requires a whitepaper....can download here.

Yes, you can have Sterling File Gateway/B2B System Integrated with IBM SDS LDAP on HOST or Linux System!!!

SEAS - Sterling Enterprise Authentication Server

IBM SEAS is basically a proxy that sends and responds to request for authentication from IBM's MFT (Mainframe File Transfer) systems against IBM's LDAP (called TDS/SDS - Security Directory Server).

LDAP stands for "Lightweight Directory Access Protocol". This is an open source, vendor-neutral, industry standard application protocol for accessing and maintaining distributed directory information services over an Internet Protocol network.

But IBM has it's own version called SDS (Security Directory Server). The older version was TDS (Tivoli Directory Server).

The Integration of SEAS and SDS is no small task! Even though these are both IBM products, they are not as easily integrated as administrators expect. This interation requires knowledge of MFT and SEAS and SDS/TDS technologies to make it all work seamlessly. This requires a whitepaper - we can provide a roadmap here.
