LDAP stands for "Lightweight Directory Access Protocol". This is an open source, vendor-neutral, industry standard application protocol for accessing and maintaining distributed directory information services over an Internet Protocol network.
But IBM has it's own version called SDS (Security Directory Server). The older version was TDS (Tivoli Directory Server).
Our zFlex LDAP can be used to help you quickly setup LDAP authentication and standard protocol using our Bootstrap zFLEX framework which is using IBM's SDS!

zFlex EDIT and UPDATE Option:
The Edit User screen helps tremendiously with updating user profile information. The intiutive look and feel for the attribute values is simple to change or delete. zFlex Integrator gives the layout in a table form with visible icons to update or delete the desired field. Then save. And you done. Don't bother with scripts or LDIF formating and other issues. Our Interface makes this function easy enough to learn for any help desk staff or new LDAP Administrator.
zFlex LDAP BROWSER Option.
zFlex LDAP Browser provides support of LDAPv2 and LDAPv3 protocol. It works with OpenLdap and IBM Directory Server and many other LDAP servers. With the zFlex LDAP Browser, you can easily view or browse : User Trees Group Trees Objectclasses Distinguished Names Various Attributes and Value pairs Membership for Groups/Roles Search via SN/CN/DisplayName and other options
Also can view multiple LDAPS at once!!

With the Display User option (part of the Administration Features), the administrator can easily with a glace see the user's key profile information. This includes typically - first name, last name, employee type, phone and group/role membership(s) if any. Also some very useful options are available as well.
The "Set/Remove" password option allows for easy and fast password resets (replacements) and removals for the selected user in question.
The user-friendly drop down allows the administrator to also search for a user with a number of pre-selected filters such as : * uid, sn, cn, dn, mail, givenName, DisplayName, samAccountName, phone, and even via an objectclass.
